Conclaive, LLC (“Conclaive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account and profile information: name, email address, business name, business type, role, phone number, business address, website, professional biography
  • Business context: target markets, service categories, partnership goals, preferred partner types
  • Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers
  • Communications: messages sent through the platform, support inquiries, survey responses
  • Content you submit: endorsements, feedback, connection outcomes, profile updates

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, connection activity, session duration
  • Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy)

Information from third parties

  • Verification data from business registries, LinkedIn, and identity verification services when validating member credentials
  • Endorsements or referrals from other members

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate, provide, and maintain the Service
  • Verify your identity and business credentials
  • Match you with potential partners using our recommendation algorithms
  • Track connection outcomes to improve match quality
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and service announcements
  • Send marketing communications (which you may opt out of)
  • Enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, and protect the security of the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Legal Bases for Processing (for EU/UK Users)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Service you’ve signed up for
  • Legitimate interests: to improve the Service, prevent fraud, and communicate with members
  • Consent: for marketing communications and non-essential cookies (you may withdraw consent at any time)
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws

4. How We Share Information

We share your information with:

  • Other members, only to the extent required to facilitate matches and introductions. Non-member introductions may mask sender identity (company name and business type only) until both parties opt into full disclosure.
  • Service providers who process data on our behalf, including hosting providers (Vercel), authentication providers (Clerk), database providers (Supabase), payment processors, email services, and analytics providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Conclaive, our members, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Conclaive is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third-party advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within ninety (90) days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud prevention purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
  • Portability: request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent
  • Object or restrict: object to certain processing activities
  • Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

California residents: the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you specific rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context advertising), and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

EU/UK residents: the GDPR gives you the rights listed above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Conclaive is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. We rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required, for international data transfers.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification at least fourteen (14) days before taking effect. The updated Effective Date will appear at the top of this policy.
